Why Your Facebook/Instagram Connection Got Disconnected in ClientStack

Why Your Facebook/Instagram Connection Got Disconnected in ClientStack

If your Facebook (FB) or Instagram (IG) suddenly disconnected inside ClientStack, don’t worry—this usually happens because of updates made inside Facebook, not inside ClientStack.

Below is a simple explanation of why this happens and how to fix it.

1. Disconnecting Facebook from Sendible does NOT disconnect it from ClientStack

ClientStack and Sendible use different connections to Facebook.

This means:

  • If you remove Facebook from Sendible, it does not remove it from ClientStack.
  • Reconnecting Facebook to Sendible also does not reconnect it to ClientStack.

Each system needs its own login and authorization.

2. What actually caused your ClientStack connection to break

The most common cause is a change made inside your Facebook Business Integrations.

When managing Sendible, many users open:

Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations

From here, it’s easy to accidentally:

  • Remove the LeadConnector app
  • Turn off permissions LeadConnector needs
  • Update Page access that affects connected tools

Because LeadConnector is the app that powers Facebook/Instagram inside ClientStack, changing these settings will instantly disconnect your ClientStack integration.

When this happens, Facebook revokes access for all apps using that Page:

✔ Sendible

✔ ClientStack (LeadConnector)

✔ Any other CRM or scheduler

3. Other Facebook-related reasons your integration may disconnect

Facebook can automatically disconnect apps if:

  • You changed your Facebook password
  • Your Page roles or access were updated
  • The LeadConnector app was removed
  • Facebook security tokens expired (normal FB behavior)
  • Settings were adjusted in Business Manager

All of these can break the connection inside ClientStack.

4. How to reconnect your Facebook/Instagram inside ClientStack

If your integration becomes disconnected, you can reconnect it in just a few steps:

  1. Log in to your ClientStack account
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Click Integrations
  4. Reconnect your Facebook/Instagram Pages

Once reconnected, your permissions refresh and your messages, automations, and ads will resume normally.
